Buying or Selling an Aircraft Outside San Diego
Most of our clients never need to visit San Diego. Aircraft transactions are handled the same way whether the aircraft is based in Seattle, Dallas or Miami: by phone and video, with inspections and paperwork done where the aircraft is.
- Consultation. We talk through your mission, budget or asking price, and timeline by phone or video.
- Search or listing. Buyers get a search of listed and off-market aircraft; sellers get a market valuation and a listing marketed to buyers nationwide.
- Inspection and records. The pre-purchase inspection is coordinated with a qualified shop near the aircraft’s home airport, and the logbooks are reviewed before you commit.
- Negotiation and closing. Terms are set in a written purchase agreement, and funds and FAA registration are handled through an aviation title and escrow company.
- Delivery. The aircraft is flown or ferried to its new home base once the sale closes.
